Evangel Christian School is conveniently located in Long Island City near Queens Plaza and the E, G, V, R, N and 7 subway lines. It is in a former 4-story public school building, which was refurbished. An extensive addition was opened in 1996 which included a new sanctuary, gymnasium, fellowship hall and additional classrooms for the school. Secure outside play areas are available for the Pre-K through High School students. Classroom facilities include a computer room, library, art room, music room and science labs.
Classrooms: Evangel was originally PS 4. Our classrooms are large and full of light
Computer Lab: Our computer lab is "state of the art".
Gymnasium: We have a full size gym including locker rooms.
Sanctuary: Our sanctuary seats 2,000 people, and is used for all of our programs.
Cafeteria: The cafeteria smells of homemade food and fresh chocolate chip cookies from the "Solid Rock Cafe".
Assembly Hall: Here we have all of our chapels.
Art Room: Here your child will explore their artistic side! Drawing, Painting, Water Color plus much more!
Play Ground: We have 3 play areas.
Recording Studio: Here music meets ministry as the ECS youth record their own music and vocals.
Science Lab: The Science Lab is used for Living Environment, Earth Science, Chemistry, and Physical Science.
Library: Our library is filled with great books to read.
