KV read “If you give a Cat a Cupcake” by Laura Numeroff, and had a great time listening to the story. After reading, they also made their own little cat masks. It was wonderful to see their unique creations.

We had the opportunity to share in chapel one of our favorite bible stories, Joseph and his Colorful coat. Kindergarten had a great time preparing and, is thankful to the parents who came to chapel to show their support.

This Month K-V has been exploring the human body in science. Students in Kindergarten are very excited to see the functions and workings of God’s wonderful creation, their body.

This month KV has been focusing on making words and sentences to create our own stories. The students are excited to become authors and illustrators of their own creative writing. They have been using words made from the letters we have learned in combination with sight words. It is exciting to see their hard work come together through their writing samples.
K-V is excited to be learning different bible stories in class. We have learned about creation, Adam and Eve, Noah, Jacob and Esau, Abraham and Sarah. We have also been memorizing memory verses already! During our Bible review time it is always exciting to see our kindergarten friends become actors and actresses and make skits about our Bible stories.
This month students will be working on Valentine’s Day projects. Elementary will be making Valentines Day cards, necklaces and picture frames for their loved ones. Studenare reminded that the greatest act of love took place on the cross!
Art Class
In celebration of the New Year children will create their own mask using feathers, sequins and glitter. We will then have our own New Years Masquerade party and the children will wear the masks they created.

KV participated in our school Christmas production. We were wise men and sang our best. The program was a success and a blessing to parents and families.
