What a wonderful time we had as we studied the Bible and God’s principles of giving, loving, forgiving and caring for others. First Grade tried their best to adhere to what they learned from God’s Word. They were really amazed when Jesus fed the 5,000 with 3 loaves of bread and 5 fish. Mark even said “Let’s try it…and see if God would multiply our juice so everyone can get some.”

This month we have had the joy of looking at the caterpillar’s life. Each day our boys and girls would peek in the closet to see the changes in the caterpillar’s life. They were thrilled when they finally saw the beautiful butterflies flying around in the cage. This reminded us of how great our God is. He made all of us beautiful!

First Grade had the privilege to take out one book from the library on a weekly basis. They enjoyed this freedom and responsibility. They loved to read on their own and we have also read a variety of books together such as the stories of Amelia Bedelia, which are very humorous because she takes everything so literally and always gets herself into trouble and funny situations
