As a means of reviewing for the 6th grade final exam, students were split into groups of four. Each group had a captain, and each group had the opportunity to earn points each class day. Review games included chalk board competitions. For example each group was asked to place the great rivers and deserts of the world in its proper location. The group with the fastest time won 5,000 points.

In closing out the year, students reviewed by competing with one another in the area of verse memorization. Some students created their own personal songs to help them memorize, and others did it the traditional way, simply reciting the verses in their heads.

4L is reading books such as “The Chronicles of Narnia,” “Fashion Designer,” “The Draw 50 Way,” and the “Geronimo Stilton” series. But the absolute favorite kind of book in this class is drawing books, they love to come and read books that teach them different drawing techniques. It is amazing how great they can learn to draw.

3G likes to read quietly on their own. We have some great book lovers in this class. It is a blessing to see when students love to read. Some of their favorites are “Left Behind The Kids,” “I Spy,” “Eyewitness Books,” “Nancy Drew,” and the “Geronimo Stilton” series.

2B has enjoyed quiet independent reading during their library period. They are no longer borrowing books since it is the end of the year but they read while at the library. It is fulfilling to see their diverse interests in books that range from “My Upmost for His Highest,” to “The Brain,” to “The Planets,” to “James in the Giant Peach.” This class truly enjoys books.

Kindergarten enjoyed listening to graduation stories since they will be graduating at the end of the month. This is a time of great excitement and accomplishment for them. It is very touching to see their faces light up when this day is mentioned to them.

Pk3 has enjoyed listening to summer time stories such as “Henry and Mudge and the Forever Sea.” It gave us a great opportunity to talk about the outdoor summer activities that we engage in. They had lots of fun talking about their trips to the beach and pool.

This month we concentrated on review and preparing for the end of the year. The 6th grade class was such a joy to have that it was hard seeing them off. I look forward to having them as 7th graders and know that God is going to do great things with this class.

This month we concentrated on review and preparing for the end of the year. We closed the year out in prayer something the 7th grade class loves to do. It was neat looking back and seeing how much they have grown in God. They are not perfect – come on they are teenagers, but they do love God.

This month we concentrated on review and preparing for the end of the year. The kids were anxious to start the summer. I also got the privilege of going with 8f on their senior trip, which was a blast.
