Christmas in Pre-K 4

We made a pretty Christmas candle and decorated our class bulletin boards with angels and mangers. We made a little gift for parents to hang on their Christmas trees, and enjoyed a class Christmas party right before vacation. What a blessing! Our Bible lessons concentrated on the birth of Jesus, the One and Only Savior. We have learned Luke 2:11, “For today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you, He is Christ the Lord.” We were blessed with a wonderful Christmas break for rest and recreation!

Fun With Letters

We made a pasta necklace for the letter “N” and when we got to the letter “O” for the first time, wrote it in our special alphabet workbook. From now on we will write the letter of the week and color a picture for that letter. We need to ask the Lord to help us; writing letters can be really hard.

Don’t Wake The Baby

In Science we talked about noisy and quiet things. We had fun trying to decide which things would wake up a baby.

Count to Ten

December was a fun and busy time in Pre-K 4. We counted to number 10 and decorated a paper with ten shiny stars. We practiced classifying again, and reviewed all numbers we have done so far.

From Land to Sea

It might be cold outside, but it has not stopped us from designing our own sea creatures, for our “Crabs Looking at Tens chart” and our classroom “Sea Star Quilt”. These charts will help the first graders gain a greater understanding of operations and counting patterns for addition and subtraction.
