Students finished their work on Linear Systems by learning to multiply the system by a number, which then allowed them to eliminate a variable and solve. Students also worked on a study guide, which helped prepare them for their Finals.

Students worked on taxes this month. They realized that even now, as they go to the store, they pay taxes. We talked about taxes as related to owning a business, house and how the FICA or Social Security Tax works.

Students worked hard on equations. They learned earlier in the year about basic equations but as the end of the year approached, they were challenged with 2 step equations. They have been getting a taste of Algebra during this month.

Students worked hard learning about angles, shapes and triangles. They learned that a line is supplementary and it is 180°. Students also leaned that a triangle is the same degrees as a line and that a circle is 360°. It has been a challenge but it has been a great end of the year chapter.

This month we talked about conformity to Christ and not the world. Standing up for Christ and not simply blending in. We also started looking at the sacrifice of Christ. When you realize how much God gave, you are compelled to surrender your life to His unfailing love.

This month we continued to make Prayer the highlight of our time and discussions. I believe God met us and as a result we have all grown. We also have been looking at the life of Esther. We watched the movie “One Night With a King”.

This month we discussed the topic of inconsistencies. We looked at the life of Peter and his up’s and down’s. We talked about Jesus being our cornerstone and foundation. If we trust in him he will bring His consistencies into our lives.
