High School :

Grades 9 - 12

An academically challenging curriculum prepares students to receive Regents Diplomas. Students enter a departmentalized program. Courses taken by all students include English, Mathematics, Science, History, Spanish and Bible. All students also attend required Physical Education and Computer classes. Electives may include Music, Art, Drama, Cooking, Fashion, Chorus, Band, Journaling, Photography, Drawing, Dance, Strategy, Magazine, etc.

HIGH SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS
High School Students will be given all required Regents to gain their NYS High School Diploma.
 
High School Graduation/Diploma Requirements
English – Students are required to take four years of English
Science – Students are required to take three years of Science, along with lab periods
History – Students are required to take four years of History
Math – Students are required to take three years of Math
Spanish – Students are required to take three years of Spanish for Advanced Regents Diploma
Bible – Students are required to take four years of Biblical Instruction
Computer Tech – Students are required to take four years
Phys. Ed. – Students are required to take four years
Electives – Students are required to take two each year

High School Diplomas Offered and Requirements
Regents Diploma – Along with passing all of the above courses the students must receive a 65% or higher on the Global, US History, English, Integrated Algebra and one science Regents (Biology or Earth.)
Regents Diploma with Distinction - The same as the Regents Diploma , but all scores on Regents together must average 90% or higher.
Advanced Regents Diploma - Along with passing all of the above courses the student must receive a 65% or above on the Global, US History, English, Integrated Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2/Trig, and two science Regents (Living Environment or Earth, Chemistry or Physics)
Advanced Regents Diploma with Distinction – The same as the Advanced Diploma , but all scores on Regents together must average 90% or higher.

College Credit Offered

A variety of courses taught at Evangel are offered for College credit through Nyack College. Students may receive up to 47 college credits before they graduate.

  • Hispanic American Spanish Literature 2 - 3 Credits
  • General Psychology - 3 Credits
  • Calculus - 3 Credits
  • Chemistry - includes Lab - 4 Credits
  • Physics - includes Lab - 4 Credits

Evangel belongs to the PSAA League (Private School Athletic Association) and our sports program include Girls’ Varsity Volleyball, JV and Varsity Basketball for both boys and girls, Varsity Baseball for boys and Track and Field for boys and girls.

High School students have the opportunity to be involved in an Annual Missions Trip in which they have a hands on experience in serving others.
