This is a very interesting elective. Here students act out a song as mimes. They portray the love of Christ with each movement. Right now they are practicing for their Christmas Program. The name of the song that they are actingout is “Every Man” by Casting Crowns. They are also working on “Who am I” by wearing white gloves that show up under a black light. This elective has been a blast!!!!!!!!!!!! We are learning how to embroider and makes a lot of cool things like pencil holders, purses, frames, etc… Come to our Christmas show and see our display.
We have been working with jeans and sweatshirts. The students are designing their own logo for their sweatshirt. Come to our Christmas Program and see our presentation. This elective is fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Art Elective focuses on Visual Math and the students are painting, drawing and designing math problems. How fun is that?! The students are enjoying a new approach to math and are surprising us with their talent.
This year Junior Chorus is busily getting ready for their Christmas Play. They are sooooooooooo excited because they are singing a song in Spanish. They are working very hard and can’t wait to sing!
Middle School students lead our 6th, 8th and 8th graders in worship each Friday at chapel. We are so blessed to have so many talented singers and musicians that love the Lord and want to use their talents for Him.
During Thanksgiving week our school had many celebrations that included food and lots of fun. Fourth and Fifth grade had truly traditional Feasts. Students dressed as Pilgrims and Indians, gave thanks, and ate lots and lots of yummy food. Middle School and High School had huge feasts in the Fellowship Hall. There was a bounty of food, talent, and giving of thanks to the Lord for His many blessings. A great time was had by all. Make sure to “check out” galleries for lots of great pics.
Our Middle School Program called “Love, Joy and Peace” took place on Monday, December 15, 1008 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. What an awesome time we had.Jesus was honored in many ways on Monday night. Traditional Christmas Carols lifted His Name. Poems about love, joy and peace were written by Middle Schoolers and read during the program. There was an extremely touching drama performed about to the song “Agnus Dei”. The students worked hard and God was glorified and lifted up.
