Make Wise Choices

In Bible this year, 11th and 12th graders learned about variety of topics from their three teachers. Most recently, they delved into the study of the Old Testament, focusing particularly on the book of Genesis and fitting familiar stories about Creation, the Fall, the Flood, and the Patriarchs into their historical contexts. In the end of the year, students participated in a special unit called Navigator (11) and Excel (12), during which they discussed how to make choices that glorify God in our hearts, bodies, and minds.

Birthday Extravaganza

We ended our year with our yearly Birthday Extravaganza. We had a wonderful and delicious luncheon together. The children were dressed in their beautiful outfits. It was a fun way to end the year. We made it through!

Thank you Lord.

Howdy Partner

During Social Studies time, the children enjoyed our trip going west on the Oregon Trail and The Pony Express. They were able to learn about the hardships the pioneers encountered as they traveled west. They learnt about the life of the cowboy and for the most part they too wanted to be cowboys and cowgirls. They were able to make connections and trace how life in the West is different now.

First grade here we come!

These are the words coming out of my kindergarten students. They have had an awesome year full of learning, laughs and excitement. I am very proud of the Kindergarten students. They have grown not only academically but also spiritually and in stature. The last couple of months have been full of fun and many learning experiences. The kids were able to go on their graduation trip to Astoria Bowl where they shared laughs together with their family and friends. We also had our last publishing party where the kids shared their last pieces of writing; the theme was dialogues. I’m very happy for all the support that I received from the parents as they came month after month to listen to their kid’s stories.

I want to thank every student and parent. I have enjoyed having each of them in my class. I have learned many things from them and I will miss them very much.

Congratulations graduating class of 2013
