This week in Science, we are studying plant growth. We are learning about tropisms (special characteristics that plants have) such as roots growing downwards, thanks to gravity, so plants can get the water and nutrients they need, and leaves growing upward toward the sun so they can make food. We are growing our own bean sprouts and seedlings so that we can see this phenomenon of nature actually taking place, and measure how fast it happens.
