Edible b’s and d’s
On January 11th, the kindergartners in our Early Reading intervention program reviewed the letters b & d in a unique and yummy way. Lowercase b and d were formed with donuts and strawberry twizzlers’. Students were instructed to form a b by first forming a bat with the twizzler and adding the ball to the right with the donut. Then they formed a d by first adding a drum with the donut and the twizzler formed the drum sticks to the right. The best part of this lesson was eating the edible letters. Forming letters never tasted so yummy!
