Bible Class

One of the tenth grade classes had the privilege of going to the Bowery mission during November. They seemed to be nervous at first but it was great to see them open up and share what God has done and what He is doing in their lives. In class we have been learning about the Beattitudes. This has been a great learning experience for the students as they see what attitudes Jesus Christ wanted us to portray in our lives. We’ve made it through half of them and I’m looking forward to what God will do in their personal lives as continue learning about them.

Even in this economy there are still those who will sacrifice and give because they see the value in investing in children and they see the value in increasing the technology in the classrooms! Truly our students are our investment in the future! So with that we say thank you to the local businesses and parents below for donating to our auctions.  Amazingly in this economy  our 2009 Auctions raised $4,000! Which will go directly into the class rooms increasing technology through the purchase of LCD projectors. Mr. Marko was the best!

Thank you also to our parents for supporting our auctions through bidding on items! We had a lot of fun and it is exciting to see the community at large standing by Evangel Christian School and investing in our students!

Bow Flies

The forensic class just completed a study on Entomology. The students made life cycle posters of a bow fly and described how each stage of life helps a forensic scientist determine the time of death. All the students are really enjoying the class.
