Fall Colors
Prek-3 has been enjoying the Harvest Season. We have been focusing on the beautiful season of fall. We created beautiful tissue paper leaves, handprint fall turkey frames, and a precious Indian Cross. My students were able to learn what each color of fall represents. Brown is for the beauty of fall. Red is God’s love for us all. Yellow is for the golden sun. Orange tells us to give God praise and keep him with us everyday.

Jan Brett
2B has been borrowing books on a weekly basis. We do quiet reading for a short while and after that we have a short story time as a class.
We have read Jan Brett books. Her language and illustrations are so unique that our students have really enjoyed them. We have read “Honey, Honey, Lion,” and “ The Umbrella.” The Umbrella is especially good because of the rich pictures and different language. It talks about jungle animals that are found in the jungles of Costa Rica. We have enjoyed this great time together.

Families
1C has been continuing to enjoy the opportunity to borrow books from the library. We have also been reading as a class. We read “Fluffy Bunny,” A wonderful story about a little bunny that is looking for a family to fit into until he finally finds his own family of bunnies. It is a touching story that teaches our children to be thankful for their family. It also shows how all families are unique and God has put us all in the perfect family, which fits us properly.

Library Fun
Kindergarten is enjoying time at the library. They are creating their own Jan Brett books. We have been working on coloring and putting together a mini “The Mitten,” book wonderfully colored by our own Kindergarteners. Of course we have also read the books, “The Mitten,” “The Hat,” and “Gingerbread Friends.”
