Adobe Illustrator

8th-12 grade began an in depth unit of study with Adobe Illustrator. The lessons will follow a tutorial format, with the teacher showing the new skill and the students copying. This culminated with a quiz in May so the students could show all that they learned.

Web Addresses

Elementary School has been learning exactly how the internet works and how web addresses are built. We tried entering web addresses and learned that they have to be exactly right to work.

Getting ready for the Regents

The students have been preparing for the Regents by enjoying days with Mrs. Jean-Pierre’s Advanced Spanish class working on conversational Spanish. Imagine the shock when we told the students that they could talk in class but it must only be in Spanish. I am so proud of my students they have been working really hard completing their assignments.

They had an opportunity to fellowship in Español and try Venezuelan food.

Latin America

May was wonderful time for the students in Spanish class as we were finishing our textbooks and preparing for finals and or Regents. Students had the opportunity to learn more about the geography of Latin America. They also learned fun facts from each country and tried some new dishes they had to prepare for themselves. Keep up the great work 9th graders

“19 and Counting” The Duggars and Bontragers

We were so blessed to have THe Duggars visit our school on Monday, June 6th. They came with the Bontrager family and ministered to our students in song. The Bontragers are a very musical family and played many instruments for us…including the banjo! What a treeat! The Duggars not only shared music with us but Jim Bob and Michelle shared their testimony with our students. Their love for the Lord shone in all that they said and did. We are excited about the possiblity of them coming again next year.

See “Galleries” for some wonderful pictures!
