Someone once said, “Pain is weakness leaving the body.” If this quote is correct then the members of my track team were losing pounds of weakness every day. To say that practice were challenging and intense would be an understatement. The phrase that I often heard was, “Coach are you serious?” And the answer that always followed was, “Do I really have to answer that?” Thirteen athletes started off on the track team and thirteen athletes finished. Out of all the teams that I have coached, this season has had the most memories and most laughs. We have become more then just a track team, we have become a family. I have had the opportunity not only to see one child grow up, but thirteen. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment. And how can I forget about the video you put together for me during the Sports Banquet. It meant so much to me, more then you will know. I love you all. -Coach Wong
Our Middle School Boys had a phenomenal basketball season coming in both 2nd place during the regular season, as well as second place overall. The amount of growth and maturity that each player has developed throughout the season can be attributed to their hard work, determination, and attitude. This year I have been blessed with two amazing coaches, Mr. Peter Garcia & Mr. Gary Garcia. They have spent countless hours practicing, mentoring, and developing their athlete’s abilities and skills, all in an effort not only to get their athletes to be able to play High School Basketball, but for them to become better individuals. Congratulations Middle School Eagles on a great season.

Our Boys Junior Varsity team finished in 5th place with 9 wins and 6 losses and made it all the way to the semi-finals! The Boys Varsity team finished in 4th place with 8 wins and 8 losses and made it to the Semi Finals in the Playoffs. Special recognition went to the following: All Conference Players Joquin Pardo & Matthew Gonzalez – All division Players Jonathan Bonifas & Demetrius Johnson – Congratulations to both teams! Our Girls Basketball team finished in 2nd place with 9 wins and 3 losses and went all the way to the Semi-finals in the playoffs.
Special Awards: All Conference awards were given to Captains Anel Pauline and Natalia Alvarez-Plaud and All Division award was given to Karas Bonifas. Congratulations go out to the entire team. I have never held a team so close to my heart as I have with you girls. Partly because of the hard work, dedication, and ccommitment that you showed. I know practices were not easy, especially with a psycho coach who made you do 15 minute full court layup lines, an insane amount of shooting drills, and 3 hour practices. But you girls are my pride and joy. Aside from learning what a suicide is, I hope you took away values, morals,and work ethics that will empower you to be the women that you were all meant to be. You girls have so much potential. If you put as much work and dedication into all aspects of yoru life, just like you have for basketball, nothing can stop you.

We have had a number of devastating setbacks; how these are handled is the making of a great team… winning does not happen in straight lines.” – Clive WoodwardEarly on in our season, the Lady Eagles have had a number of setbacks. Defeats which if pushed aside and not dealt with could have impacted the outcome of our season. After every game we examine what we did right as well as what areas need to be improved. These defeats allowed us to examine our structure and as a result, drastic changes came about. One major change was the implementation of an entirely new offense. It was through these defeats that have helped to shape and mold us into the “team” we are today.
Our Lady Eagles are currently 8-2, with only 2 games left in the regular season.
We have our eyes fix on the prize and are anxiously awaiting playoffs.
