It’s June already where has the year gone. As I look back over this past year I feel that we have accomplished much in 2nd grade. Besides working on math strategies, becoming fluent readers, discovering about New York City history, sprouting and planting seeds, what stands out most in my mind is how much second grade has matured. They began to reason and concentrate on specific tasks independently. Most of all they began to show each other compassion. They worked hard at helping and supporting each other. We all learned this through bible stories and much prayer that: “I Can Do All Things through Christ Who Strengthens Me” Philippians 4:13
